Be My Downfall and Stinger Reviews...

Toby Wright has always prided himself on being one of the most normal guys at Whitman University. He loves his parents, has a great job lined up after graduation, and with the exception of attempting to cross the unbalanced Sebastian Blair sophomore year, has kept his nose pretty clean.

But the rich never have empty closets, and memories long stashed away come spilling free when notorious party girl Kennedy Gilbert almost dies in his dorm room.

Nobody really knows how Kennedy manages to stay in good standing at Whitman–she never goes to class, doesn’t pretend to care about her future, and as far as people can tell, is never sober. This isn’t her first meeting with a stomach pump, but it is the first time she’s woken up to Toby’s concerned brown eyes. Despite the fact that she prefers life without friends, he gets under her skin with his insistence on playing her guardian angel.

No one knows better than Toby that people can only be saved if they want to be, but the realization that she has no one else draws him back into the shadows of Kennedy’s life–and eventually into her bed. But she long ago came to terms with a truth that Toby refuses to accept: she doesn’t want to be rescued, she only wants to forget.

Unwilling to give up on her, Toby’s dragged under by this broken girl and her dark, twisted Whitman University he never guessed existed. If he struggles to the surface, he’ll abandon someone he loves for the second time in his life. If he doesn’t, it won’t be long until they both drown.

I would give this book 3 stars!!

This is the third book in the Whitman University series.  It can be read as a stand alone.  I loved the other two books in the series.  I fell in love with the characteres right off the bat. And I also fell in love with Toby and Kennedy.  Kennedy is a party girl with a lot of problems including addiction.  Toby is a boy who has dealt with people with addictions in his past.  I liked the story because he truely loved her and wanted to help her.  Toby realized due to his past with addiction that he could want to help save her all he wanted but if she didnt want it herself it was a lost cause.  He loved her enough to understand that some people have to hit rock bottom and have to learn to dig themselves out of the hole.  It wasnt a happy story but it seemed very realistic.  Love isnt roses, sunshines and rainbows.  I liked that they included characters from the other books in the series.  The only reason I gave it 3 stars was because if you read the book you understand Kennedy's probelms but they arent laid out clearly and neither is her recovery.  The book would have been better with a little more information about her past and her recovery.  I would recommend this book to my friends.

Grace Hamilton was the girl with a plan. She knew exactly where her life was going and prided herself on always achieving her goals. It was who she was, and how she lived her life. She never stepped outside the lines, and never considered what she might desire and whom she was actually trying so hard to please. Until him…

Carson Stinger was a man who didn't play by any rules except his own. Working in the adult entertainment industry, he didn't care what others thought, and took each day as it came, no direction, no plan. He knew what women wanted from him and believed it was all he had to offer. Until her…

When circumstances forced them to spend several hours together, they walked away changed. But for two people who never should have meshed, overcoming the reality of their vastly different lives wasn't possible. At least not yet…

THIS IS A STAND-ALONE NOVEL. The first two books in the series need not be read to enjoy this book. New Adult Contemporary Romance: Due to strong language and sexual content, this book is not intended for readers under the age of 18.

Carson Stinger is a male pornstar.  Grace Hamilton is a girl with a plan.  And her plan doesn't include a pornstar.  They meet and decide to have a fling in order to better Grace's chances of being able to sexually satisfy her future husband.  Carson just can't help his attraction to her and wants her in his bed.  The fling changes Carson's life and years later they reconnect.  They find out the impact they had on each others lives and that they never really stopped loving one another.  This book was a good read but not a great read in my opinion.  It was steamy and parts were really romantic.  I loved that Carson caller her buttercup.  But I just couldnt get past the fact that he was a pornstar and she would so easily fall in love with him.  I could understand the wanting to have sex with him to learn a few tricks but a happily ever after to a man who slept with women for money while it was being filmed I can't.  Liked I mentioned before it was a good read and kept me interested but I dont know if I believe the storyline.  I would still recomend this book to my friends frankly because Carson was HOT and it was a steamy book!
