About Her Lovely Lies:

She loves him madly, wants his children—but does she really know him? Come a little closer if you dare.
Will Hastings is back with more of the dark love story that began in Lies That Bind Us.

Loving her is all that I am. She is the flesh and blood savior who lights up my soul. She’s grace and beauty, the source of my addiction. I watch her every move, consume each breath she takes. I won’t live without her touch. She’s in my bed when I close my eyes and there when I wake. But now, my angel lies to me.

Elle secretly investigates the lies left behind by her sister and my brother. She should know better—no space exists between us, no room for secrets. I allow the deception while she searches for answers, but I am always right behind her, eliminating the threats that shadow us. Her discovery? It drives me straight to my knees.

Exclusive Excerpt:

. . . I had somehow found the discipline to wait Ellie out, to give her time to grow and thrive as an individual before allowing my obsession to consume all of her, though I could feel the elasticity of it contracting. My self-discipline had stretched to its limit.

I needed to see her. I would claim one touch, maybe one kiss, then continue protecting her from a distance.

Fucking liar. You’ll take everything from her. Don’t touch.

I shook my head, my deliberations vacillating between what I knew was the truth and what I wanted to do, and jogged out to my car. The town celebration had already started, and this fucking liar wasn’t about to miss an opportunity to see her there.

It didn’t take much time to catch up to her—there she was on the street just a few feet ahead of me. I would recognize her pretty arse anywhere. Stonington’s main streets were narrow, so I retreated into the crowd and crossed to the opposing curb from where I could see her face.

Ellie soon found me and locked her eyes onto mine, and what I discovered in her gaze was staggering. It caused a sharp pain to cut through me as if a blade had pierced my heart.

Abandonment. Loss. She believed she was alone.

I pressed my palm against the center of my chest to ease the abrupt tightness.

Christ, how many times had she been failed?

She worked a second job tending bar for fuck’s sake, and it wasn’t for the money—my father had assured me she had inherited her father’s wealth, which meant she was looking for something or someone to make her feel safe and loved. She’d lost both parents at an early age, and her grandmother visibly held her affection for Ellie at arm’s length. Ellie’s sister, Isobel, seemed to express a maternal regard for her rather than offer the kind of companionship a sibling close in age could provide.

I had no idea how many men had passed through her life, but it was clear none understood who she was or what she needed because she was still alone.

She was practiced at concealing the pain, but beyond the beauty of her green irises, the suffering was there. I could see it and feel it, and in that moment, with our eyes locked, I knew that I would never find the strength to leave the States without her again.

Unrestrained thoughts raced through my head. I opened and closed my hands, flexing my fists as flashes of anger rushed through me. I wanted to kiss away the hurt. I ached to shelter her in my arms. I wanted to bury my cock deep inside of her and show her that she had been found. I lowered my eyes to her lips and smirked at the idea of her releasing all of that pain while screaming my name.

I met her eyes again, my smile fading as something more occurred to me. That she dared to hold my stare for so long revealed strength, but also there was something undeniable about the intensity of her will. Ellie held the power no one before her had ever possessed, and if I wasn’t careful, one day she would wield it to put me on my goddamned knees.

Mine. . . .

EXCERPT:

Once at his place, I tossed my bag on his couch and sauntered to the kitchen with Kai behind me.
When’s your mom coming home?” Kai’s mom wasn’t my greatest fan, and I always felt uncomfortable around her.
We’ve got a few hours.
I spun around to face him. “You promised me some nakedness, mister.” I pointed a finger at Kai’s T-shirt.
Come and take it off,” he said, leaning his back on the wall.
As tempting as that may have sounded, I wasn’t doing it. If I touched him, I’d seriously jump on him, and let’s say that the end result wouldn’t have been cookies in the oven.
I shook my head. “Not touching you.”
Scared you might not be able to resist what lies underneath?” Kai asked.
It’s been seven months since Kai and I started dating, and last month we talked about having sex. Since we’re both virgins, we decided not to rush things and gave ourselves three more months before actually doing the deed, but ever since we talked about it, the sexual tension had increased, and the waiting was all the more difficult.
Don’t tempt me,” I cautioned, pulling out a chair and gluing my ass there so that I didn’t jump on Kai and rip his T-shirt off.
He chuckled and took the edges of his shirt between his fingers. His biceps curved as his hands moved the T-shirt higher up his abdomen. My gaze melted over the exposed skin as he peeled the T-shirt off. Enticing me further, the collar of the T-shirt got stuck behind his left ear, and he yanked it off, messing up his hair—my poor jaw met the floor. I released a long breath I wasn’t aware I was holding and relaxed my grip on the table.
Enjoy the show?” he asked but didn’t wait for my response before turning around to preheat the oven.
Hell yeah, I enjoyed the show. “Uh-huh …” I tried to mumble with my dry throat and jaw still on the floor.
Kai chuckled. He started looking for the ingredients and placed them on the table as I watched his shoulders and chest muscles move. The chest muscles stopped moving, which meant he stopped moving too. I lifted my head to see he was looking right at me.
What?” I asked.
Stop looking at my body like that. I can practically feel you licking me in your mind.”
I looked around innocently. “Who, me?”
Shut up.” He threw a napkin at me, and I laughed.
You can’t be shirtless and not expect me to ogle. That’s why I’m here.”
His lips spread into a wonderful smile, warming my heart. God, this guy will break my heart one day.

Scarred Cover Reveal...

The wait for the final Sailor's Grave book is almost over! We are so exited to be revealing the cover for SCARRED by Drew Elyse. SCARRED will be released on October 10th -- be sure to add it to your TBR today!

About SCARRED

TRAUMA HAS A WAY OF LEAVING ITS MARK.
It took years to do it, but I can finally look in a mirror
and see more than just the scars.
If only that were true for the rest of the world.
The whispers, the stares, the pity they’re familiar now.
Except his eyes don’t linger, his demeanor never changes.
Maybe that’s why I trust him
and take the leap to move in with a virtual stranger.
A stranger who might be more scarred than I am.
YET NOT ALL SCARS ARE LEFT ON THE SURFACE.
The day I got a spot at Sailor’s Grave Tattoo Parlor, I had everything.
A roof over my head, an honest living, a few friends.
The times when I went without no longer factored.
Until she comes into my life.
Until I offer her a place to stay.
Until she draws me in with that blinding light inside her,
and almost makes me forget
to keep the past in the dark where it belongs.

EXCERPT:

The girl who’d crossed [Reed’s] mind just the night before was walking toward him with his sister. Unfortunately, she was hardly a girl anymore. Dressed in a red-and-black checked cashmere coat, cinched at her tiny waist with a leather belt, a red hat covering her mocha-colored hair and three-inch, impractical yet sexy leather boots, she was definitely not a little girl anymore.
What the hell was she doing here?
Tyler and Wade gave up their barstools to the women, waving as they headed toward a booth.
“See ya, guys,” he said. Then turning to his sister, “Hey, Cass, who’s your friend?” He wiped the bar in front of them and set down two new coasters.
His sister shot him a look that resembled a plea for help…or for something strong. Obviously this visit was as much of a surprise to her. He reached for the top-shelf premium vodka and held up the bottle.
She nodded, removing her scarf and coat. “Make it a double. This is Erika… You remember her, don’t you?” She placed her coat over the stool before climbing up.
Erika was still scanning the bar as though she hadn’t decided yet if she was going to stay.
“Um… Erika.” He pretended to think. “Right, yes, I remember—how’ve you been?”
She finally looked at him, her eyebrows furrowed. “We’ve met?”
Unbelievable. He’d only held her in the woods overnight so she didn’t have a panic attack.
“You have to remember my brother, Reed,” Cassie said, motioning for him to be quicker with her drink.
Erika’s mouth gaped slightly.
There you go. He knew he’d changed over the years. In high school, he’d been tall and lanky…skinny was a better term. Food wasn’t always plentiful at home and being active in every sport that he could play for free had him burning energy faster than his body could keep up. Luckily, he’d discovered weight training. “Hard to believe this hunk is the same guy, huh?” he asked when she continued to stare.
Her look of disbelief was quickly replaced with a disapproving, incredulous one. “Do you own this place?”
“Nope. I’m just here to encourage copious amounts of alcohol and misbehaving,” he said, his jaw tight. Within seconds, she had him feeling like the teenage kid who wasn’t sure he’d ever amount to anything. Over the years, his confidence had grown along with the size of his biceps. Very little shook him, so how this woman he hadn’t seen in years had him agitated, he didn’t know. No doubt, their history was part of it.
“He makes the best cranberry martinis in Wild River. Have a seat,” Cassie said, gesturing to the barstool next to her.
“Or don’t.” Reed shrugged when Erika hesitated.
She ignored him as she examined the barstool. Picking up a napkin, she wiped the seat before removing her coat and sitting, folding the coat over her legs. Ready for a quick exit if needed.

Elena Denholm is a mild-mannered half witch. As a favour to her cousin, she agrees to meet with top Sydney lawyer, Jake Royston, to negotiate a property deal. Sparks fly immediately, but before they can even take a sip of wine, let alone explore where the sizzle might go, Jake is hit by a love spell and is helpless against his feelings for Elena.
Jake may be at her mercy, but Elena is keeping her hands off — exploiting humans is a no-no. But Jake’s good looks and powers of persuasion are breaking down her resolve, and Elena knows she must do something fast.
Desperate to set things right before her resolve crumbles, Elena begins a frantic search to find the witch or warlock who hexed Jake and return him to his right mind, even if it means breaking her own heart...
~~~***~~~***~~~
REVIEW!!!
This book was a fun read.  Elena has always thought she was only half witch and Jake has always thought he was all human.  When they meet each other everything starts to change for both of them.  Jake is spelled by Elena's ex.  In figuring out how to break the spell Elena finds out that she is a full witch and her ex is actually her brother.  Once the spell is over Jake also finds out the truth of who he really is.  But in the end can they end up together?
So this is my first book by this author and I was not disappointed.  This is book two but it is a standalone and I didn't feel like I missed a thing at all.  There were moments where I got really confused but things cleared up quickly.  I look forward to reading more books by this author soon.  She has a great writing style and kept me entertained.
5 magical stars!
Cambria Hebert
(GearShark, #6)
Publication date: November 4th 2019
Genres: M/M, Contemporary, Romance
What’s meant to be will always find a way.
Perfection isn’t an illusion.
I met it, held it in my hands.
But then it slipped right through.
Perfection isn’t an illusion.
It’s elusive, cleverly evasive, and, in many ways, a horrible tease.
I’m not a man to be toyed with.
Quiet, thoughtful, and even sometimes careful,
but never someone to taunt.
Even the most controlled men have a breaking point.
I just met mine.
Why mess with perfection?
You don’t.
Unless perfection messes with you.
Author Bio:
Cambria Hebert is an award winning, bestselling novelist of more than twenty books. She went to college for a bachelor’s degree, couldn’t pick a major, and ended up with a degree in cosmetology. So rest assured her characters will always have good hair.
Besides writing, Cambria loves a caramel latte, staying up late, sleeping in, and watching movies. She considers math human torture and has an irrational fear of chickens (yes, chickens). You can often find her running on the treadmill (she’d rather be eating a donut), painting her toenails (because she bites her fingernails), or walking her chorkie (the real boss of the house).
Cambria has written within the young adult and new adult genres, penning many paranormal and contemporary titles. Her favorite genre to read and write is romantic suspense. A few of her most recognized titles are: The Hashtag Series, Text, Torch, and Tattoo.
Truth...
Today we have the release day blitz of Truth by S.J. Sylvis! Check it out and be sure to grab your copy today!
Title: Truth
Author: S.J. Sylvis
Genre: Contemporary Romance
About Truth:
There’s only one thing that stands in the way of having my name stamped on a big, fat check trailing with several zeros.
And it goes by the name of Reid King.
What is a totally average elementary school music teacher doing standing in a tour bus with the King of Music? I have no idea, but for some reason, the stars have aligned and the universe thinks I’m the one who can to help him. That, somehow, Reid King and I can collaborate on an album together and make him the authentic, raw, soul-crushing singer that he once was.
Reid King thinks I’m in over my head.
Heck, even I think I’m in over my head.
But that check will solve all my problems, and nothing will stand in my way of getting it. Not Reid King, or his devilish smirk, or his soul-gripping voice, or his talented fingers that roam effortlessly over a guitar. Not even the steely glances he throws my way every three seconds.
I’ll get that money and save my family from years of heartache. And maybe… just maybe… I’ll save Reid from his heartache, too.
Exclusive Excerpt:
I shook out my shoulders and crossed my arms, leaning against a pole, appearing unbothered at the way the spotlights above Reid’s head cast an almost angelic hue around his body. I ignored the way his high cheekbones and angular jaw looked like they were cut from granite, stealing the breath right out of my body. His dark-brown locks were shining and bouncing like he was in a commercial for some high-end shampoo line that I’d never have the pleasure of using. My mouth ran dry as Reid closed his eyes and stood straight as Jackson and Finn started up the hymn for the first set. It felt like Reid was sucking my soul right out of my body as his mouth opened and the first line was sung.
A raspy, soul-crushing, feel-it-all-the-way-to-your-toes sound filtered through his lips, and right then, I was completely swept away. I was mesmerized. Unspoken for. What his voice did to my body was unspeakable. Reid King was just that. A king. He was a king onstage. He commanded everyone’s attention. He sang from deep within, not only feeling his own words as he sung but also commanding everyone else to feel them, too. I felt Reid King in my core, in my entire being.
I couldn’t take my eyes away, and I couldn’t ignore the way his voice, paired with his steely appearance, made me burn all over.
Reid King was a cold man, but he had an unbreakable fire inside of him. He made me burn from the inside out with desire.
A desire to feel like him.
A desire to love like him.
A desire to break like him.
He had the curse that not many people had. He felt all too deeply, and he made others want to feel it, too.
Exclusive Excerpt:
We make it through dinner alive, even though my parents acted as if she wasn’t there the entire time. I probably need to up her compensation for agreeing to this. Even I couldn’t have predicted this brutally frigid reception. I thought Dad would put on a forced friendly front and complain viciously to Mom behind closed doors, like any normal American.
Once dinner is over and my brothers have completed their jousting match over who gets which bedroom, I am feeling far superior, since I have been the most laidback about the bedroom thing. I grin my way up the staircase, Kinsley trailing behind me. We head for the last bedroom, which has a sunrise-facing window I’ve always particularly liked. I push open the door, and the cozy guest bedroom greets us.
In front of us, the plush queen-size bed is neatly made, the head of the white comforter pulled back. Beckoning us into its comfort.
Something is off, but I can’t tell what.
Kinsley speaks. “I thought you said there were two twin beds?”
Shit. That’s what it is. I roll our luggage into the bedroom and shut the door.
“There were.” I frown. “In my old room.”
She’s gnawing at the inside of her lip, glancing between me and the bed.
“Will this be okay?” I ask, suddenly worried I’ve overstepped our tenuous boundaries. Clutching her hand in a vice grip for the duration of dinner? Fine. But sharing a bed, even platonically? This could be the deal breaker. “I can sleep on top of the covers, if you want, or bring a sleeping bag—”
“It’ll be fine.” She waves her hand dismissively and heads for the bed. “I wouldn’t want you to sleep on the floor on my account.”
I smirk, unable to pass up the chance for a joke. “I didn’t mean I would be sleeping on the floor.”
She narrows her eyes, a laugh bursting out of her. “I can’t imagine you’d drag me two thousand miles for that encounter with your parents and make me sleep on the floor.”
My laughter turns into a sigh. “Sorry about that. I didn’t think it would be that bad. Honestly.”
She shrugs again, picking at something on the comforter. “I know our parents always had issues. I just didn’t think it would make them act like that.”
I ease onto the bed next to her, even though I could have sat anywhere else in the room: the other side of the bed, in the chair facing the bathroom, or hell, even on the gray berber carpet. But being near Kinsley has already burrowed in like a habit. Even though no eyes are watching us. “Do you think your parents would act the same?”
“I don’t know. Maybe. It’s weird to think that we’re being the adults here.”
Regret crashes through me. Am I being the adult here? My reasons for bringing Kinsley are hardly noble. Sure, I bought her plane ticket. But also, I needed her presence to get back at a small handful of people. And that seems like the opposite of mature.
“Listen. We’re gonna have a great time,” I say, channeling my hopes into words. “My parents will loosen up. But we won’t even be here much. We can go do whatever we want. This is vacay, baby.”
She sends me a curious glance. “Whatever we want, huh?”
I can’t help it. My mind goes straight to sex. I’m 100 percent man and 50 percent beast. Which makes for some sort of mathematically impossible species. My gaze drops to her lips. God, she’s got great lips. Maybe we can slightly expand the list of Bayshore-relationship activities.
“Absolutely.” The side of my body closest to hers is getting hot from curiosity. She’s not my type—not even a little. But I’m still wondering what it might be like to go there with her.
“You know I brought twenty books with me, right?” she says. And like that, the fire under my skin goes out. Not because books aren’t sexy—trust me, they are—but because I realize she wasn’t heading down the same kiss-curious path I was. She meant books. Because she is not a man beast who would already have her half undressed if she’d allow it.
“Like I said.” I push to my feet. More distance is probably wise. Sitting that close to her is messing with my head. “We’re creating this vacay. And if that includes starting your own book club, so be it.”
She smiles up at me, and there is something so pure and innocent in her gaze that my breath catches. The sunlight filtering into the room catches on her hair, highlighting the strawberry undertones there. Between her glistening braid and her sweet smiles, I decide in that moment that she is the definition of a sunbeam.
A sunbeam with slightly-too-large ears.
I already know that Kinsley is my humor and mental equal after one sad night at the bar and an entire day of travel together. She can lob a joke as far as I can. And I’m realizing that although we’re just pretending here in Bayshore, I actually want to spend time with her.
Book Blurb:
Reese
I’m done.
Getting ditched at the altar is nothing compared to being humiliated there in front of three hundred shocked guests. Apparently I’m no good at spotting the signs your man’s a cheating liar. So I set off solo on my honeymoon to Hawaii, where I realize I’ve got this life thing down just fine on my own.
Friendships and laughter? Yes.
Adventures? Absolutely.
But relationships? Hell no. Never again.
Knox
I’m a man of few words. My reputation as a moody prick is deserved, but only the handful of people who really know me see the man beneath the professional mask.
I’m a protector. A warrior. That part is true. But the world doesn’t get to see the rest of me. And women don’t seem to mind my gruff exterior—my bed’s always warm.
I’m content with life—loving it, even—or so I thought. But when I meet a beautiful pastry chef with a broken heart and a smile that softens me down to my soul, I realize I wasn’t really content at all before her.
I only wish I had the words to let her know.
