Midnight Texas 1: Midnight Crossroad Review...

From Charlaine Harris, the bestselling author who created Sookie Stackhouse and her world of Bon Temps, Louisiana, comes a darker locale - populated by more strangers than friends. But then, that’s how the locals prefer it...
Welcome to Midnight, Texas, a town with many boarded-up windows and few full-time inhabitants, located at the crossing of Witch Light Road and Davy Road. It’s a pretty standard dried-up western town.
There’s a pawnshop (someone lives in the basement and is seen only at night). There’s a diner (people who are just passing through tend not to linger). And there’s new resident Manfred Bernardo, who thinks he’s found the perfect place to work in private (and who has secrets of his own).
Stop at the one traffic light in town, and everything looks normal. Stay awhile, and learn the truth...

REVIEW
I picked this series up after watching the first couple episodes of the show.  I was an absolute fan of the Sookie Stackhouse fan!  Once again the book and movie have similarities but are nothing alike.  The book was just as good as the show however.

Manfred is a psychic who just moved to Midnight, Texas.  Midnight is a town full of unique individuals of all sorts so it is the perfect place for him.  When one of the towns people, BoBo, is accused of murder Manfred may be one of the only people who can clear his name.  In the end BoBo is cleared with the help of Manfred and Fiji.  Do you find out who or what everybody is?  Who really killed the woman and why?

What will happen next for this town?  I really want to know.  I am a huge fan of Charlaine's work, she is an amazing author.  So I look forward to delving further into the world of Midnight.  The characters were fun and amazingly written.  There are a few I am still trying to figure out but hopefully we will find out who they are soon.  The plot was fun and interesting.

I look forward to continuing this series because so far I'm in love.  There are so many things that can come from this series and I look forward to seeing them all!
