Something Wonderful Review...

Sometimes falling in love means letting go of the past…

Jeanella’s confidence and trust in Max continues to grow, and life seems to be on track. Then Crystal decides to pursue a sexual harassment lawsuit, and Jeanella’s world turns upside down. Once again, she wonders if she will ever be enough for Max. Jeanella is forced to make a decision; stay and fight for her man or leave him for good.

Becky's unexpected friendship with Matthew continues to blossom, as they try to define the boundaries of their relationship; but a one-night stand threatens to ruin it all. As Matthew’s feelings for Becky grow, he’s torn between guilt and heartache over his deceased fiancée. Can Becky break through his wall and help him heal?

Matthew didn’t even bother to look in the direction I pointed. He didn’t seem interested at all.

“I’d rather stay here. I think you like me here too.” With his eyes intentionally locked on mine, he took a big gulp of his drink, and EVER so slowly, licked away some that escaped with a long, seductive stroke of his tongue. Watching him made me quiver…EVERYWHERE. My face became as hot as my drink, and naughty thoughts rushed through my mind…I wanted to be the cup he just licked. Managing to snap out of my fixed trance I said hastily, “Fine. Suit yourself. I’m not going to talk to you.” My eyes went straight to my laptop, but I was dying to ask him a question.

“Love changes you in ways you didn’t expect, molds you to be a better person, and opens your heart to something wonderful.”

I was so excited to have the opportunity to read the second installment in this series. I enjoyed the first book Something Great and hoped for the same in this one. Ms. Clarke didn’t disappoint…well not entirely. I only complaint I have is that I have to wait until the end of August to read Something Forever!! I don’t want to wait that long. L

Something Wonderful picks up where Something Great ends. I appreciate that considering, it has been quite some time and several books since I read Something Great.

Jenna and Becky are still roommates and best friends. They are still close with Kate and Nicole.

Jenna’s accident brought up old and uncomfortable memories for both Becky and Matthew. Their past collided with their present and it was almost too much for each of them to handle. But, it also brought Becky and Matthew together, and allowed them to form a friendship. A friendship with twists and turns. Excitement and sadness.

Ms. Clarke takes us deeper into Max’s past and confronts Jenna with truths she struggles to deal with. Jenna is tested not just by her new found knowledge of Max, but also by statements made by both Crystal and Luke. She is forced to look inside herself. And because she has such loving and caring friends, she’s forced to face her own insecurities and learn how to suck it up and grow a pair.

The love story between Jenna and Max continues with some new and exciting turns. Some unexpected unravelings and the addition of…

I give Something Wonderful 4.5 flaming hearts!!
