Bidding Wars by Lacey Wolfe

GoodReads Description:

A sheriff plus a nurse plus a house equals trouble…

Nurse Molly Harper has had a tough year. But when she decides to regain control of her life, buying her dream house becomes her first priority. Finding the perfect house and falling in love with it—that’s the easy part. The hard part is getting rid of the obnoxious man who thinks he’s going to be the new owner. Even if he is gorgeous. And the sheriff…

Sheriff Luke Logan needs to buy a house. Getting out of the renting game will help in the custody battle for his son, so when the perfect place pops up right on his street, he can’t believe his luck. But there’s already an offer on the table, and the woman won’t back down. Too bad she doesn’t know that he always goes after what he wants, and he has no intention of letting her have “his” house. Even if she does make him feel that he might need more than just a house to make a home…

About the Author Lacey Wolfe:

It's always been my dream to be a writer. Ever sense I was a child, creating stories has been a passion of mine. I have always said that one day I would be an author. Finally, I am working on this dream of mine. I have two children who have been keeping me busy for the past 7 years. My youngest is starting pre-k this year and I have more time for me and to concentrate on what I want out of this life. So I am picking up pen and paper...well I guess keyboard and screen, and working on this dream. It isn't going to be easy. There will be many ups and downs, but I am ready. I know this dream will come true, my mom told me so, "You can be anything you want to be when you grow up." Thanks mom, here goes nothing!

My Review:

It has been a while since I could say this but I honestly did not want to finish this book because then it would be over.  It is only book one in a series so I hope to learn more about these same characters.  There are really no words to describe this book at all.  You follow Nurse Molly and Officer Luke Logan as they bid against each other.  Molly can't get pregnant, is more recently divorced and really wants this house as a new start on life.  Luke is also divorced with a son Sammy and is fighting for custody of his son, which is why is originally wants the house.    Luke falls in love with Molly the moment she steps foot in his station yelling about their bids on the house and then they keep running into each other.  He drops out of the house race and that is just the beginning of the shenanigans with the house.  In the end they all get what they want and I want to say live happily ever after but we don't know that for sure at all.

The first night I started it I read half of it in two hours because I didn't want to put it down, so I was up until 2 in the morning reading it and had to be at work the next morning.  I got a little bit further the next couple nights and finally forced myself to finish the last 30% or so last night...starting at 12:30 in the morning I finally finished at 1:30.  It was deep.  It was inciteful.  It was touching.  It was simply put an amazing story and I can't wait to read more.  I am glad I have joined her street team because Lacey is an amazing author and I can't wait to help get her name out there for others to read.

This is not my normal genre so yes I am extremely surprised at how much I loved it.
