“Not now,” she said, pushing him away.

He kissed the curve of her neck. “If not now, when?”

“We’ll be late for dinner.”

He smiled against her skin, breathing in her scent. “The chili can

wait.”

“Maybe so, but Reno’s appetite can’t.”

Austin narrowed his eyes and stepped back. “Say again?”

Nothing about the look Lexi gave him was innocuous. “Well… it

seemed like a waste for you to cook all that chili for just us.”

“Alexia Talulah Cole…”

She folded her arms and jutted her hip to the side. “What have I

said about using my middle name? Look, we didn’t drag our friends all the way

out here to isolate them in some godforsaken cabin in the middle of nowhere

while we’re busy having primal sex.”

Austin had no doubt the other couples were engaging in their own

mating rituals—perfectly happy to spend time alone for the rest of the trip. He

sensed Lexi was creating a diversion. She’d been doing it since they arrived

two days ago, always finding something to do whenever he got aroused.

“If that’s the way you want it,” he said gruffly, folding his arms

and turning away. “Guess I don’t care to see what’s in your bag, either.”

She laughed brightly and snatched the handle, swinging the bag

around as she strutted toward the ladder to the loft. “You obviously didn’t see

everything in here.”

“What makes you say that?” Images of Lexi in those lacy panties

flitted through his mind, and he gripped the chair, caging his growl when he

swung his gaze up and saw her naked at the top of their loft.

“Because, Mr. Cole, if you had seen everything in this bag, you’d

already be up here having your way with me. But since you’re not interested,”

she sang, moving out of sight.

The next thing he knew, his blue flannel shirt came flying over

the edge and landed on a lampshade, followed by his dark-wash jeans.

“All right, smartass,” he shouted, changing clothes in the middle

of the cabin. “We’ll do your formal chili dinner with everyone, make Vampire

jokes, and then we’ll have drinks. But once they’re gone, you have a date with

everything in that bag, and I’m the chaperone.”

“Dream on,” she replied.

He zipped up his jeans. “And that’ll be the song we make love to.”

Blake let out another pitiful groan. “I don’t think it fits.”

“They measured you. It fits. Just, tell me if it looks okay so we can go.” I checked my watch. “Gabi said dinner was at six, and it’s already a quarter till.”

“This is too much pressure.” Her voice was frantic. “I can’t do this. I mean, how do I know if it looks good? They’re boobs.”

I groaned. “Boobs always look good. Believe me.”

“Boobs are gross!”

Said no man ever. Even the gay ones.

One of the salesladies eyed me up and down. “Are you two okay?”

“Great,” I chirped. “Just having a very heated discussion about the beauty of breasts.” I dipped my chin to Blake’s chest. “What are you? A double D?”

Scowling, she marched off.

Thank God.

“Blake,” I hissed.

No answer.

I’d never had such a difficult client. If anything, they jumped when I told them to, asked how high, and then kept jumping until I was satisfied. Blake fought me at every turn.

“Open the door before I crawl underneath it. I’ll pick the bras, you can close your eyes if you want so you don’t have to watch me look at you, alright? My stomach literally just ate my liver. I need protein. Open. The. Door.”

The door slowly creaked open. Taking advantage of the small crack of air, I pushed it farther, then clicked it shut behind me and turned around.

Blake was facing me, hands on hips, face beet-red, body . . . freaking perfect. My tongue almost lolled out, like a dog.

Most girls starve themselves to have abs like that, which was disgusting. But her abs? They had muscle, actual muscle, but still appeared feminine.

She also had a nice tan, just enough to show that she spent time outside or maybe just had naturally darker skin.

My throat went completely dry as I continued to stare.

“Well?” Her voice was weak. “How awful do I look? On a scale of one to ten?”

I’d convinced her to buy some new workout clothes to replace her old ones. I knew I’d never get her to actually completely change her style. She liked workout clothes? Fine, at least buy the kind that fit and actually point to the correct gender. I tried to steer her away from the boyfriend sweats and sweatshirts, but she eventually wore me down, so I told her if she bought at least five new Pink outfits that had spandex in them, I’d let her get one pair of ugly slouchy sweats. You’d think I’d just given her a million dollars, from her reaction.

Currently, she was sporting a short pair of bright-blue yoga shorts.

And a black push-up sports bra that did wonders for her boobs.

And the world just in general.

Holy shit.

I gulped as I became more and more irritated with the fact that my body was reacting as if it had never seen a girl without her shirt on before. “Blake, it’s great.”

“You sound bored!”

I had to, damn it! What did she want me to do? Sound interested? Turned-on? Intrigued? Curious? I was all those things. I just tried to ignorethe insanity bouncing around in my head and blurted, “Your boobs look really good. Perky, happy, just . . . awesome.”

Did I just call her boobs “happy”?

“You think?” She stared down at her breasts, then grabbed them.

Holy shit, was she seriously feeling herself up? I braced my hand against the door and sucked in a breath.

“They still feel comfortable,” she said.

“Do they?” I managed to choke out while she continued bouncing them a bit in her hands. Dear Lord, did she know what she was doing? Waving a flag in front of a bull. My jeans suddenly tight in all the wrong areas, I tried to envision Lex naked, anything to get my dick to clue in to the word “client,” meaning I was in a no-play zone.

Another first.

It was because I was hungry.

And Marissa? Melissa? Hadn’t satisfied me. I’d gotten off, and made sure she did too, but the entire experience left me feeling empty, bored, and—if I was being completely honest? A bit depressed. Besides, her tits paled in comparison. I had to wonder what the hell I’d been doing all my life if this was the first time I was having such a strong reaction to boobs.

Something about Blake had me wondering if I’d been satisfied at all up until this point. And I had no idea what the hell was so confusing about her, and about the situation. I was unable to put my finger on it, and the more I thought about it the more my head hurt.

Hunger does weird things to guys.

“Yeah.” More bouncing, then turning and staring in the mirror. I wasn’t sure what was worse. Her staring at her own boobs or touching them. “I’m just no good at this stuff. I didn’t grow up with a mom, and I hit puberty really early. The girls made fun of me, and the boys pointed.” Her shoulders slumped inward again.

Could we please go back to the bouncing? I was a fan of that Blake. The one that rolled up like an awkward armadillo? Not so much.

Cat Morrison has been unlucky in love and blames it on her mother.  Her best friend Michael has been in love with her forever, he even moved across the world to get over her.  When she moves in with him after her last failed engagement she wants nothing but to keep the friendship platonic.  Can she manage that or will things between them change forever?  Can she let go of the hurt she feels towards her mother?

What an amazing book.  I absolutely loved the characters.  They were unique and fun.  The plot and story were also fun and well written.  I enjoyed the flow and pace as well.   The author wrote a book that you don't want to put down.  I enjoyed the writing style immensely.

This is a book that I was able to put myself into the story with.  I can't say that about a lot of books I have read lately.  This book dragged me out of my book funk it was that good.  I will be looking for more books by this author because she is an amazing story teller.

Wrapping her arm with mine, my mother and I headed through the house and to the back. “Now, Ava, try to keep your very outspoken thoughts to yourself.”

My mouth fell open as I let out a gasp. “Oh my God. What do you think I’m going to do? Offend the little old consultant men, and then they won’t want to work for us?”

Peeking one eye open, the other one quickly followed as I gasped and said, “Ryder?”

I quickly scanned around only to find everyone staring at both of us, and I couldn’t help but notice the stunned expression on my father’s face. “You know my daughter, Ryder?”

The smile that spread across Ryder’s face spoke volumes.

“Yes, sir, I do.”

I could feel all eyes on me as I let out a nervous chuckle. “Well, I mean we’re just acquaintances.”

REVIEW!

Princess Arsinoe was sold to a king who ignored her in order to strengthen her fathers kingdom.  She is nothing but a pawn to so many people and she only wants the stable hand.  What could possibly go wrong in that scenario?  Will she survive?  Will she reach her goals?  

A lot happened in this book and I truly enjoyed it.  However, I found that it ended too quickly for my liking.  I didn't feel like I had enough time to truly get to know the characters because the book was so short.  I love period books and this one delves you into the lives of Ptolemaic Egypt.

The book was fun, with a decent pace and flow.  The characters were well written.  The idea behind the book was good as well.  I just wish it had been longer in the end.  So worth the read.  The writers style was fun and different.  I will definitely be looking for more by this author as soon as I get the chance.

REVIEW!!

This is the classic Jane Austen love affair.  If you haven't read the original or at least seen the movie then you are sorely missing out.  It is one of my all time favorite books and movies and Austen is one of my all time favorite authors.  I have read and seen just about every version so when I saw that the library had the graphic novel I jumped at the chance to read it.

The graphic novel follows the book pretty well.  Obviously it is a condensed version of the book but it hits on the best parts of the book.  I was happy with how well it transformed into a graphic novel.  I wasn't let down much at all.  I enjoyed the art work immensely.  I truly enjoyed the way this book was written and the graphics.

If you want to get your kids into a good classic novel then this is the best way to go.  I have read several graphic novels based on classics and while they are never as good you still get the basic story.  I hope one day to be as great an author as Miss Jane Austen was.  I mean look at how far her works have come.

I am so glad that I picked this book to review. I really enjoyed it. This book grips you emotionally good and bad. It pulls on your heart strings. I love a good book that can do that. Those are the ones you keep with you. This story is entertaining throughout and keeps you wanting more. I kept thinking what is going to happen next. I love to figure out plots and I had some of this one right up until the end. I am glad that there is another book coming out. smile emoticon I really felt for August. He wakes up from a coma and has no one. That had to be tough. It is hard to pick who I am going to root for. I am hoping the right guy wins in the next book. I will definitely recommend this book to my friends. I give it 4 out of 5 stars!
