The Truth About Alice Review...

Everyone knows Alice slept with two guys at one party.

But did you know Alice was sexting Brandon when he crashed his car?

It's true. Ask ANYBODY.

Rumor has it that Alice Franklin is a slut. It's written all over the bathroom stall at Healy High for everyone to see. And after star quarterback Brandon Fitzsimmons dies in a car accident, the rumors start to spiral out of control.

In this remarkable debut novel, four Healy High students—the girl who has the infamous party, the car accident survivor, the former best friend, and the boy next door—tell all they know.

But exactly what is the truth about Alice? In the end there's only one person to ask: Alice herself.

REVIEW!!

Alice is the girl who ends up taking the wrap for everybody else's mistakes.  Once one rumor starts they everybody who makes a mistake just adds to the rumor mill.  When Brandon starts a rumor that he had a threesome with Alice at a party and ends up dying in an accident his friend escalates the rumor by saying he was texting Alice.  There is no end to the vicious cycle of rumors that start to grow.

I thought this was a unique book because it isn't actually about Alice, but it is at the same time.  This book is actually about all the people Alice thought were her friends and how their lives escalated the rumors.  By the end of the book you find out why each of them starts the rumor that they did.

I love the idea behind this book and while I don't think it would normally work it did for this book.  The characters were fun and dynamic.  The flow and pace were perfect for this book.  I couldn't have asked for a better book.

While I didn't actually connect with this book I still recommend it.  It has a unique lesson in it.  The author has a quirky writing style.  I will definitely be looking for more books by this author real soon.

4.5 truthful stars!
