Hearts At Play Review...

Hearts at Play
The Bradens Series Book Six

By: Melissa Foster

Brianna Heart has a six-year old daughter and a twelve-year plan to keep her life as simple as possible until Layla turns eighteen. That means swearing off relationships and the drama that goes along with them, working two jobs, and being the best damn mother she can be.

The last thing Capital Series Grand Prix racer Hugh Braden wants after dating media-hungry leggy models and money-hungry fan girls is a blind date. But how could he turn down a favor to one of his best friends? Hugh expected the date to go poorly, but he didn’t expect to be intensely attracted to the beautiful brown-eyed bartender who completely blows him off—and steals his every thought thereafter.

When Brianna’s perfectly orchestrated life turns upside down, Hugh is there to help, softening the turmoil, and maybe even rescuing her heart from the lonely place where it has been hiding. Can a man who doesn’t believe in fate and a woman who doesn’t believe in true love find happiness in each other’s arms forever?

Heats at Play is the first book in The Bradens series that I have read. Even though it is book nine in the series, I had no trouble following the book. Ms. Foster is an excellent author. I must say I really enjoyed Hearts at Play and will definitely read the other books in the series.

Hugh Braden is an adrenaline junkie. He is a grand prix driver.  Hugh LOVES life in the fast lane. He is smart and sexy and a race car driver. What’s not to love?  Then one night while in Richmond a women catches his eye. She happens to be the bartender. Hugh feels a strong pull to this women. He doesn’t understand why she is avoiding him. can not

Brianna Heart is a single mother to a almost 6 year old daughter named Layla. She is such a strong women and mother. Giving up her happiness to keep her daughter happy. Brianna has a 12 year plan, to stay away from men. By then Layla will be 18. She has made a promise to herself that she will give all of her attention to Layla while she is growing up. Layla's father was never in the picture. Then the night she meets Hugh her plans fall apart.

I liked that  Brianna, was a struggling mother and that her life was complicated. It made her feel more real to me.  And Hugh OMG!!! He is a Prince for sure. I absolutely LOVED the way he looked after Brianna and Layla. He wanted to give them the world. I am a sucker for love at first sight books. And the amazing chemistry that Hugh and Brianna have is SMOKING HOT!!!! I gave Hearts at Play 4 1/2 stars.
