Breaking Angelina Review...

Title: Breaking Angelina

Author: Rita & TJ Webb

Genre: New Adult Paranormal

Blitz Host: Lady Amber's Tours

Powerless to silence the voices in her head, Angelina obeys their every command, even if it means ruining her college career, swindling money from her friends, or kidnapping and killing a siren so she can brew a love potion to ensnare the man she's crushed on since childhood.

The Hunter, a man-wolf-hawk chimera, drowns the memories of his murdered family in liquor. A tracker for hire, an honorable man who has misplaced his honor, a twisted soul with no heart left to care.

…until Angelina hires the Hunter to help her track down a siren and wakes him from his drunken stupor. What will it take to set them both free?

Unbuttoning my shirt slowly, I paste one of Cyndi’s coy smiles on my face and step toward him seductively. He’s already hard beneath my hand when I grab him. It’s smooth and warm, and a little thrill runs up my arm. I wasn’t expecting to like the hardness of him.
“You’re so big.” Guys like to hear that, right? All the heroines say that in romance novels.
He grabs my wrist and, digging his fingers into my arm, yanks my hand away. “Don’t be fake. Or the deal’s off.”
“I thought this was what you wanted.”
“I want the real thing. Or I could just get any whore off the street.” He bares his teeth at me. His fingers dig deeper into my arm, and I wince.
“Okay,” I say. “You’re hurting me.”
He lets go. “Don’t toy with me.”

This book was interesting, however I struggled to stay interested in it.  The pot, characters and writing are all very well done.  I think I there may have just been too much going on for me to follow everything.  Rita and TJ did a great job on this book and I will definitely try to read it again when I have read book 1, maybe then things will fall into place and it will make more sense for me.

I look forward to reading more by Rita and TJ.  While I did not love this book I would still recommend it to others.

RATING: 3.5 out of 5 stars

Joint author bio:
Our adventure started with a camping trip and a bottle of whiskey. Apparently Rita is a scary monster, and TJ needed liquid courage to give her that first kiss.
When not fighting over who gets to read our favorite books first, we’re swapping kisses and movie quotes in the kitchen.
Together, we home-school our three girls, who keep us busy with art, science projects, books to read, dance classes, and walks about the park.
