Her Winning Formula Review...

Her Winning Formula
Hot & Nerdy # 3
By: Shannyn Schroeder
Releasing November 24th, 2014
Kensington

Blurb

Spring break was supposed to be a last blast of fun for three friends before the reality of adulthood set in. But for the trio’s science whiz, it’s an education in instant attraction…
Chemistry major Felicity Stone can tell you everything about the way chemicals interact, but when it comes to social interaction, she needs schooling. Abandoned by her friends, Felicity is faced with spending spring break alone—unless she accepts a gorgeous stranger’s invitation to pose as his girlfriend at a family wedding. Not one to turn down a research opportunity, Felicity never expected it to produce such breathtaking results…
Teacher and baseball coach Lucas Tanner is fascinated by Felicity’s potent mix of spirit and scientist, not to mention her delicious curves. When Felicity asks him to return the favor by teaching her how to pick up guys, he can’t refuse—but he’s not at all happy with the idea of her using a formula for flirting on anyone but him. Can he convince her that together they have the perfect chemistry?

~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~
Hey, Felicity, it’s Lucas.”
She rolled her eyes. “I have caller ID.”
Sorry. I just wanted to apologize for the message earlier.”
He still sounded weird. “Is your mother making you call me again?”
He laughed and she relaxed. “No. I’m glad you could tell she put me up to that call. We went out to lunch and everyone was looking for you. You made quite the impression last night.”
She closed her eyes with a groan and thought of the many ways she might’ve embarrassed him as she sank back to the chair. Her comment to Becky led the list. Becky had probably already shared her crude remark with everyone just to prove how “unfixable” she was.
What was that for? Everyone loved you.”
Her eyes popped open. “What?”
Everyone who spoke to you loved you. They said things like you’re a charming girl.”
She laughed. And laughed. And then laughed some more until she doubled over. Lucas’s voice murmured in her lap where she’d dropped her phone, bringing her back to reality. She scooped up the phone and placed it against her ear. “I’m here,” she said breathlessly. Grin in place, she took a steadying breath.
Are you okay?” he asked.
Another slow inhale before responding. “I haven’t laughed that hard in forever. Are you serious? Your family loved me?”
According to my mom, yeah. That’s why she wants you to come to dinner tomorrow.”
I guess I’m a pretty good actress then.” She paused because she knew she never would’ve pulled it off if it hadn’t been for him. “And you’re a miracle worker. No one has ever been able to give me the magic formula for social interaction. Thank you.”
No, thank you. I don’t know if I would’ve survived the wedding without you.”
He got quiet suddenly, and her stomach tightened. She stood and braced her elbows on the rail.
Why did you leave this morning?”
She considered hanging up. She could probably get away with it and just ignore him if he called back. But in her mind, she saw his smiling face, and she didn’t want to do that to him.
Didn’t you have fun? I thought it was good for you too.”
Crap. He thought the sex wasn’t good? She swallowed a chuckle. “Just the opposite. It was amazing.”
Then why sneak out?”
I wasn’t really sneaking.” Liar. “You looked tired, and I didn’t want to wake you. Plus, my commitment to you as your date was officially over.”
Uh-huh.”
He didn’t sound like he believed her. It was the same sound Charlie and Layla made when they wanted to call her a liar but were trying to be nice.
I guess I need to hold up my end of the bargain then.”
What?”
You asked me to help you pick up guys. I’ll meet you at your hotel at seven. We’ll have dinner and our first lesson.”
But—” Her phone bleeped at her to signify he’d hung up. She plopped back into her chair. What was that about? He had to know that she didn’t really expect him to teach her how to pick up guys, especially after last night. Even she wasn’t so dense to think that was a good idea.
REVIEWED BY KAYLA:
Spring break was supposed to be fun but when Felicity is the only one to make it to their spring break plans she is nervous about being alone. She meets Lucas on the plane and they talk. Lucas has a hard time flying but talking to Felicity seems to calm him. Lucas has the perfect solution to both their problems. He asks Felicity to come to a family wedding and pose as his girlfriend. Felicity is not one to turn down a research opportunity. Felicity was shocked at the results. Lucas is a teacher and Felicity is a scientist. They seem totally incompatible. But when she asks him to teach her to pick up guys, he can’t refuse. Can Lucas show her that they have the chemistry they both need?
I really enjoyed this story. It was sweet and romantic and I really liked it. I would recommend this to my friends. I give it 4 out of 5 stars!
Flirting With Love Review...
Flirting With Love
The Bradens # 10
By: Melissa Foster
Releasing December 15th, 2014
Blurb
FLIRTING WITH LOVE is the newest addition to the BRADEN series by New York Times & USA Today bestselling and award-winning author Melissa Foster. This contemporary romance series features alpha male heroes and sexy, empowered women. They’re flawed, funny, passionate, and very relatable to readers who enjoy new adult romance, contemporary romance, and women’s fiction.
IN FLIRTING WITH LOVE…
Elisabeth Nash has spent years dreaming of returning to the small town of Trusty, Colorado, where she spent summers with her favorite aunt. When she inherits her aunt’s farmette, she closes her Los Angeles pet bakery and pampering business, sure that life in Trusty will be as peaceful and as welcoming as she remembers. But being an outsider in the close-knit town proves to be very different from the happy summers she remembers from her childhood—and falling for Trusty’s hot, wealthy, and sinfully irresistible veterinarian, Ross Braden, sends the rumor mill into a frenzy.
Ross Braden learned long ago that gossip spreads faster than weeds in his small hometown, and Ross loves nothing more than his privacy. For that reason, he doesn’t date women who live in Trusty. But that was before blond, beautiful, and refreshingly honest Elisabeth Nash flew into his vet clinic seeking help for her panicked piglet and turned his comfortable life—and his heart—inside out.
Despite rumors about Elisabeth’s motives toward her aunt’s property, passion brews between Elisabeth and Ross. Every steamy kiss and every sensual touch brings the pair closer together, and when Ross helps Elisabeth try to fit into the town he adores, it makes their bond even stronger. But even Elisabeth’s efforts toward reaching the community, and the love she and Ross so desperately believe in, might not be enough for the protective small town to offer them a future.
REVIEWED BY ERYCKA:
Like many of Melissa’s other books, this one is full of love, frustration, a little sadness, and a completely swoon worth hero.
Ross is the last of the Braden men, making him the most wanted man in his small town in Colorado. He loves his job as a vet and loves his dogs more than life. But, there is something missing…a love a woman.
What will he do to find it? And what will he do to keep it? Read and find out! If you can get past the parts that are a bit slow (imo), I’m sure you like it!
3.5 stars
Exposing The Flesh Cover Reveal...
Exposing the Flesh
Published By- SideStreet Cookie Publishing
Expected Publication Date- December 26th, 2014
*Warning: Intended for 18+ only. Contains graphic language and sex, as well as depictions of violence and sexual assault that may be disturbing to some readers.*
Niall Donovan is a talented photographer. When it comes to women, he can have his pick and has. But beneath the flirtatious, joking smiles he's hiding long buried pain and traumatic memories. Memories that are breaking the surface once more. Memories that he’ll do anything to shut up. When suicide doesn’t work for him, he indulges in pills, drugs, and physical pain. They seem to help some, but they barely take the edge off.
London Black has been put through the wringer. Between a car accident that nearly killed her, months of physical therapy, and finding out the boyfriend she moved to Midtown for has been cheating all along, she’s done being the sweet wholesome girl everyone thinks she is. A one night stand with the sexy photographer she meets at a club is just the thing she needs to boost her ego. It does more than that when the explicit photos of them are the main exhibit at the local art gallery. Embarrassed, angry, and now without a prospective job, she confronts him on opening night. But when he offers her a generous deal with room and board in return for more photos, she accepts. Taking naked photos with him for a large sum of cash doesn’t seem like that horrible of an option, and besides they both intend to keep things completely professional.
When the shutter starts snapping, however, it’s hard for either to deny what's developing between them. Neither are in a good place and prefer those desires stay hidden in the dark, but the camera doesn’t lie. Baring it all may expose more than their bodies. But exposing their hearts may be more than Niall or London bargained for.
From the darkness of emotional and/or physical pains we crawled out and eventually found a way to dust ourselves off and carry on with life.
So let these stories serve as a guide, that all that glitters is not always gold. That the felling of the hairs rising on the back of your neck is a warning, a primal scream to let us know that some things are not as they seem. Trust your gut. Yes, some people are worth fighting for but others have somehow tricked us into seeing a wolf in sheep’s clothing.
With hindsight fully engaged, we can now see the clarity of our past and appreciate the lessons we learned in our very own happily never after.
Riding Steele Series Reviews...
Being kidnapped by bikers is a harrowing experience, but for some reason, Laurie doesn’t feel as terrified as she should. The leader’s steely eyes soften when he looks at her, and the others in his gang clearly know she’s hands off. But does that include Steele's hands? Her brain resists him, but her body insists she wants those big hands all over her.
Steele doesn’t know how he wound up in this mess–with a kidnapped woman on his hands and the police hot on their trail. Now he and Laurie are in hiding at an isolated cabin, and Steele has to figure out how to extricate himself . . . and steer clear of his accidental captive whose tight, slinky clubbing attire is making him think all kinds of dangerous thoughts…
REVIEWED BY KAYLA:
I liked the story. Laurie was kidnapped by bikers but she doesn’t feel scared as she should. The leader looks at her with soft eyes. The others in his gang know she’s hand off. But that include Steele’s? Laurie is trying to resist him, but her body wants him. Steele doesn’t know how he wound up like this. He’s kidnapped a women and the police are close to figuring them out. Laurie and Steele are in hiding. Steele is trying to stay away but they are all alone at this cabin.
I liked this story it was good. Not my favorite but I liked it. I give it 3.5 stars out of 5.
REVIEWED BY ASHLEY:
I enjoyed the book but it wasn't what I was expecting at all.  So Laurie is in a bad relationship and her brother Craig hires an MC to kidnap her and keep her safe.  Steele the leader of the MC doesn't want to kidnap her but keep an eye on her.  One thing leads to another and one of the members ends up really kidnapping her in order to protect her.  She does what any sane person would do and freaks out.  Can't wait to read the rest of the serial!
However, while this was a good story it was more of a lead up to more story so it was kind of slow for me.  Still intriguing though and it's kept me wanting more.
3 out of 5
REVIEWED BY KAYLA:
The second book picks up where book 1 left off. Laurie has been trying to escape. Steele keeps bringing her back. This book has a lot of sex and hot scenes. They are both frustrated and Laurie finds herself wanting Steele but she doesn’t trust him and he is keeping her captive. This book is left in a cliff hanger. I am glad I had the next books to read. I hate being left on a cliff.
I give this book a 4 out of 5 stars. I liked this book better than the first one. It drew me in.
REVIEWED BY ASHLEY:
This is book 2 of 6 and I still haven't really gotten into the series.  However, this book did have a few intense and very erotic scenes.  I really don't feel that the story is progressing.  Laurie is trying to escape because she is scared of these bikers.  Laurie is starting to want Steele in this book but it isn't that intense yet.  It definitely left off with a cliff hanger so I will continue reading.
3 out of 5 stars
REVIEWED BY KAYLA:
Collide picks up where Untamed left off. Laurie thinks that she has finally escaped Steele when she is brought back to the cabin. Laurie was told the things that her ex is capable of and she is feeling very vulnerable. Finally Laurie sees that Steele and his gang are trying to protect her. They don’t want to hurt her. Laurie is starting to trust Steele and they finally give into their attraction to one another. Just when they are starting to get to know one another there is a twist and a cliffhanger. I enjoyed the plot of this book and the characters are starting to grow on me. I give this book 4 out of 5 stars!
REVIEWED BY ASHLEY:
Book 3, Collide, picked up where the last one left off.  This book definitely picks up the pace and I am starting to understand the characters and story a bit better.  Laurie thinks she has finally gotten away from the bikers but inevitably is brought to them by Killer, the cop.  Laurie also finally gives into her urges to be with Steele even though it still frightens her.  So freaking good.
4 out of 5 stars!
REVIEWED BY KAYLA:
Wanted starts off where Collide leaves off. I am so glad I have all the books so I can keep reading right through them. They keep getting better and better as I read each book. Laurie is now on the run from the law and trying to avoid being arrested for a theft that she didn’t mean to do. Steele opens up to Laurie about a tragic loss in his past. There is a group sex scene. Craziness. Laurie is starting to feel free. She is feeling free in her sexual and personal life. She has never felt that before. Steele figures out that he wants Laurie’s heart and he wants her to have his. I liked Wanted. It was a good story and it keeps getting more intense. I give it 4 out of 5 stars!
REVIEWED BY ASHLEY:
Once again we pick up where the last one left off and the story just keeps getting better and better.  The bikers take off with Laurie in tow once charges are placed.  Laurie starts to change and become more free but she still isn't completely sure if she wants to join the crew or be Steele's woman.  With the help of Steele and his crew she experiences a very strong sexual awakening, via a pretty intense group sex scene.  After reading this book I would definitely and most willingly fall into the arms of any of this crew of bikers.
4 out of 5 stars!
REVIEWED BY KAYLA:
Crossroads starts off with Laurie being kidnapped again. But this time it is by her crazy ex. This book is full of action and angst. He holds her captive until Steele and his gang come to rescue her. Laurie gets to clear her name in this book. Steele had taken off from his crew and wanted to get some perspective. He finally figured it out though. This book was exciting and I liked it a lot. This book is left on a huge cliffhanger. I am on to Aftershock. I give this book 4 out of 5 stars.
REVIEWED BY ASHLEY:
Oh my goodness.  This book was intense.  Once again Laurie is kidnapped and back in her insane ex-boyfriends grasp.  Steele and the crew find her again and both Steele and Laurie realize that they want the other "forever".  Once Laurie is safe with the crew again they stay the night at a motel only to wake up the next day and find that Laurie is wanted for questioning by the police.  I can't wait to see what happens in the final installment.
4 out of 5 stars
REVIEWED BY KAYLA:
This is the final installment of the Riding Steele books. We get to solve a mystery right from the beginning. This book focuses on the love blooming between Laurie and Steele. The both have issues but they both have to work through if they are going to have a future together. Laurie wants stability and Steele has no desire to stay in one place permanently. Will they be able to make it work? Or will they give up a future together? I enjoyed this series once I got into it. Each one got better as I read on. I would recommend this series to my friends. I liked this book it was good. I give it 4 out of 5 stars.
REVIEWED BY ASHLEY:
I didn't like the beginning of this book at all but in the end everything worked out for the best and everybody lived Happily Ever After roaming the continent.  In this book Steele pushes Laurie away because he doesn't think he can be what she needs.  Laurie knows he's wrong and after a few weeks she joins up with the crew again and rides with one of the other guys until, with the help of Raven, Steele comes to his senses.
This book ended the series and while the first couple books were kind of slow it just got better and better.  I haven't found a book by Opal Carew that I have disliked yet and I can't wait to read more by her.
5 out of 5 stars!
